  • About this Guitar.

I received the guitar in good shape . No blemish . However I had to do a light sanding of the frets at the bottom because they are a little bit sharp on the sides of fret board . The body and weight of the guitar is heavier compared to my Squier stratocaster. The neck is thicker and wider compared to a strat or a les paul. I replaced the strings with Ernie balls and lowered the action.. It now Plays great. I like it.. It takes a while to get used to. For the price, its a good practice guitar.

  • Good bones for tele partscaster

Well built guitar with a nice body and neck. Neck needs adjusting on truss rod, bridge height needs adjustment. Mine needs a shim in the neck pocket. If you're handy, none of this is hard. Google it! Youtube has videos on each task. I'm replacing the pickups also. The frets need leveling. Don't expect it to be playable right out of the box. But as a base for modding it's great. Solid wood, strings go thru the body. Wood is solid and full sized. Tuners are cheap but hold tune. Weighs the same as the real thing, which is good.

  • Didn't work! Fell apart in my hands! Poor Workmanship!

First the good: it looks nice in the box. The fretwork was actually pretty good. The body is heavy like Alder wood and is well-lacquered. Now for the bad: the control switch is bent at a 90% angle; bridge plate scratched and gouged and saddles are super cheap; machine heads loose (nuts not even tightened); the maple neck has a knot in it... When I first plugged it into my amp, it didn't even work - no sound, nothing. So I removed the control cover plate and there was a loose wire just hanging there - all the solder joints are poor workmanship; when I removed the bridge plate, the bridge area in the wood is misdialed with no less than 18 holes. Plastic nut is cut so deep there is no action (strings touch the fretboard). I expected a cheap guitar for the money, but not only it is cheap, the workmanship is terrible. Check out the pictures of this actual guitar.

  • Good cheap guitar!

For the money you get a good basic beginner guitar. The action was set to high, so I lowered it. The electronics are sufficient. Just remember, you paid 80 bucks for a guitar that they could probably charge more for. So anything you want to change, still not that expensive.

  • Maybe I'm Amazed!

From the picture, I expected a rough looking sort of tele, which was fine by me. I was planning to fix it up. But what I got was an immaculately built, butterscotch blonde finish, perfectly finished, gorgeous intricately patterned neck wood, everything in perfect order. Even the intonation was good straight out of the box. Neck was perfect, fast player, good heavy alder, finely matched. Maybe the owner shipped his own personal guitar out by mistake, LOL!, (if so, NO you can't have it back!!!!) but I got a guitar that far exceeded what I paid. Your mileage may vary, but I would recommend the Eleca without hesitation. One feature that some might not like is the strat style headstock, but personally the one thing I can't stand about tele's is their headstock, I think they're ugly, so for me this was a positive deciding factor when I ordered. Also, this is a three pairs of bridge saddle arrangement, like the old style, I am fine with it, the intonation is fine, but for some more modern players or tuning fanatics might pick with it. But for the price...hey, replace if you need to. Anyway, I'm very happy with mine, it inspired me to check out some other Eleca products, I think they're serious about what they're doing.

  • Elica tele is better than Squire IMHO. Was very pleased once I tuned it up and did some minor bridge adjustment.

Ive been playing 40 plus years. This is good quality materials and workmanship. Keep it up Eleca!

  • the best bang for the buck ...i cant build a guitar for what i purchased this for

i own 23 high end guitars..one $3000 valley arts ,,i have to say slap a fender sticker on the headstock and you have a guitar that is equivalent to a made in mexico telecaster..that being said this is the best entry level guitar money can buy..and with a little know how a person can modify this guitar to a custom built guitar ..i mean what a deal for a youngster to have as a first guitar and as he grows ,he can take it apart and experiment.. it would be like your first car take it apart fix it modify it...that is what i did and i cant purchase a quality guitar for the price i paid and the modifications i made to this eleca tele..i sanded the eleca logo off and put a fender logo and then i put seymour 2 p-rails in after i routed out the pickup holes and put in cts pots and changed the bridge...it gave some fun and experiance in modifiying my first guitar..

  • solid guitar

I have been playing for 49 years. Have owned Gibson Les Paul, Fender Strat and Jag. and many other great guitars. I am totally impressed with this Telecaster copy! Only had to do a little adjustment to it. Great blues sound and feel. I can not believe the price I got it for!
