Snap-On F715 ratchet- (modified LSF715 1/2" drive)
What sets this particular ratchet apart, is it's obvious hard plastic contour grip handle and a flexible partially sealed head. While being old technology, using only a 20 tooth gear with a one tooth per side engagement pawl, it still is one step up from those completely unsealed heads used on the previous ratchet models where the head had no seals of any kind, and was completely vulnerable to dirt and other contaminants entering inside to the internals. Where there used to be an open back, now has been enclosed with a Snap-On head cap held in place by the bushing. This is a very important advancement to the design of the ratchet mechanism, as it now prevents dirt or other contaminants from entering in on that particular side of the head. The repair kit RKRA38ALS that is for this rat does include a new cap and bushing, which is exactly the first thing I am going to do when I receive this rat. Though I am going to modify mine alittle more by taking it one step further installing the 1/2" compact kit from a SF710 ratchet. It should fit with no modifications necessary...and it does perfectly!👍
