Buy this if brake lights won't turn on, but not if they won't turn off.
If your lights won't turn off, check the contact on brake pedal. They break very easily and all you have to do to insure is twist this out, leaving the wire connected. While it's out, press the button and check to see if the light turns off. (Easier at night)
This should only be bought if your lights won't turn on, and your vehicles shift solenoid won't allow your vehicle into gear. Wasn't a bad $10 investment for something that gets worn overtime though.
It was plug and play perfect for my 2004 Honda Odyssey. Remember that when you twist it into the set washer, make the smallest amount of contact that will allow the brake light to turn off. Don't just ram it to breaking point so the pedal slams back down on it.
Also if your lights won't turn off. Insert a 1/4" bolt where the contact was and use a lock washer behind it. Great permanent fix!
