Works perfectly, first time every time
I've never used a tool like this before since this is the first time I've adjusted valve lash on a motorcycle. I watched a couple You Tube videos on how to use the shim tool, and it worked exactly as I expected it to. Some people have issues with it slipping off the cup, but this never happened to me. I kept slight pressure inward as I pushed down on the handle which kept the tool ledge on the cup. It makes the job of removing and replacing shims very easy and fast. My bike is an '83 Suzuki GR650 Tempter, which is an air cooled parallel twin.

Very useful, good quality product.
A very useful tool. Forget about dodgy techniques and get yourself one of these shim removal tools. It was cheap as, and getting your valve clearances right on a Suzuki engine is so much easier when you use this. Highly recommended.

These made in Taiwan tools do not function like the originals i.e they will slip when attempting to lock the shim bucket in the open position.
