Good product but would be better if updated to a larger size.
This ER6700 item is no longer available new, I bought it second hand at around £70:00. It works OK and is suited for Cryptic Crosswords which is what I wanted, It could be larger like the ER3700, as adjacent digits are often displayed due to closeness of the keys and large fingertips. Please bring back the ER8000

Great functions, easy to use
Bought to replace an older version. This is much better. Thesaurus easier to use. Encyclopedia and dictionary functions. My only criticism is that it is quite small. Convenient to put in a pocket. Great for solving cryptic crosswords

Robust and does what it says.
It does everything I was hoping for. It is small and neat enough to carry around in a pocket but I still find the buttons easy to use. It has not faltered in any way so I have no negatives to complain about.

found encyclopedia difficult to obtain required information with too many alternatives, but may be down to my age and not understanding today's technology.

Text is very blocky which makes it a bit difficult to read
Bought to replace much more expensive model which we managed to break. Dictionary is limited but still useful. Screen text is poor quality but still usable. Qualified recommendation

pocket size knowledge computer good for travelling and cross words

Disappointing
Not as good, and more expensive, than the previous 2 I've had. No cover over the buttons so they're vulnerable when it's in my handbag. Also buttons not very positive...letters don't register so I have to go back and correct....just annoying. Also it doesn't seem to be able to do two word answers either in crossword or anagram mode...i.e. you can't add a space. Altogether disappointing.

Exactly what's needed
Because this is very hard to get a new version of the price is well over its actual worth. We had to pay a significantly higher price to get it. My elderly mum (94) is severly disabled and relies on this model for her crossword puzzels and so when her old one stopped working she was really upset that she couldn't buy a new one online to replace it. I don't know the reason for the shortage or if they are not manufactured anymore, it's a bit weird. Now that she has her new one with a new battery as the one that came with it was dud, she's over the moon and looking forward to getting into her crosswords again which is her main preoccupation now. Grateful to Charlotte for moving a bit on the price.

Good but possibly too complex.
very good product but quite complex to work out how to use and manual is quite a daunting read. I will however persevere and keep using.

Our fault it wasn't the one we wanted.
We didn't realise from the ad that the product is a really old model. We have had a couple of these, of course later models, and have been very happy with them. It's our fault as we should have known that the price did not match the product we thought we were getting. There is nothing wrong with the product, as such.
