Ewa Alin stole my heart portraying the 'Candide' of the 1960s!
"Candy" was actually a popular book when i was in high school. All the teachers at school were wise to it, but I bought it while on a trip to Texas, and no one in the family knew about what I was reading. The film took some liberties (with plenty of guest stars) and claimed it was written by Terry Southern, when all the book copies for over forty years said it was Maxwell Kenton (definitely a pseudonym). More Ringo memories
I've been catching up buying Beatles items that have escaped my clutches over the decades. I didn't expect much from Candy, apart from Ringo, but Ewa Aulin's performance was a lot better than I expected.
