<h2>David Hall</h2><p>The 1916-D is scarce in circulated grades and scarce in mint state. It is very scarce in Gem MS65 or better condition. In Gem condition, it is about equal in rarity to the 1913-D Type 2, 1914-D, 1915-D, and 1917-D, but not nearly as rare as the 1918-D or 1919-D. The majority of survivors are well struck.
