Mercury Dimes: Overlooked, Undervalued
One of the top FOUR (4) US Mint Designs of the 20th Century, the 90% Silver Winged Liberty “Mercury” Dime (1916-1945) harkens nearly 3 decades and 2 generations to stand firm in turmoil. During this period, the U.S. faced the German & Reich Foe Twice with the maniacal Japanese Empire both bent on territorial crusades the likes of Roman Rule. The Mercury dime as has become its mainstay moniker, is obverse-adorned with the left-flanking Liberty having near-perfectly proportioned wings launching Lady Liberty to “immortality.” With an approximate ASW “Silver Weight” of .0723 Ounces each, todays melt value of approximately $1.05. However in Fine-12 condition, pricing appears numismatically almost quadruple at $3.91 for lower grade , common specimens! The reverse provides Roman fasces, a bundle of rods, the center rod being an axe. The high point on the coin’s reverse seems to be the crux of whether said specimen is Rear-strapped with a “Full-Band” or if grading views the bands as merged. The best Mercury strikes show mint luster, clear designs, and full, distinct, separate strapping bands as a mark of mint excellence. Such specimens and even the common dates are now and will continue to be sought as one of the top desired and collectible coins (with advancing value) of the 20th Century. CollectSelect(tm)

I love Mercury dimes...................
Mercury dimes are beautiful coins with a great history. If you're a coin lover but you can't afford to collect the high dollar stuff (like me), then Mercury dimes are the way to go. You can get some really beautiful high grade coins for very reasonable prices. As with any coin type, there are some VERY expensive key date Mercury Dimes, but it's not hard to build a really nice collection of the more common dates.

A TIME IN HISTORY
A time in History. Just think were this coin has been, from the day it was made up till the day I brought it. It's just one of America's small piece of pride and the History of the people who have taken pride in making a beautiful coin as the Mercury Dime, She's Beautiful.

Coin collecting can be a lot of fun and not to expensive depending on the type of coin or coins that you may decide to collect. It can be fun and profitable. It can take a lot of learning to know what you are doing. IT IS A LOT OF FUN.

Great addition to my collection.
The pictures of this coin looked good but you can't always go by the pictures. In this case the coin was better in hand than in the pictures. The reverse is just lustrous and gorgeous, the obverse is almost flawless. Nice addition to my collection for the money a good value.
