Item arrived 5/6/24, a little bit late but well packed & intact. The tender looks like new on the outside, but the whistle doesn't work & needs thorough overhaul, which I'd do anyway. Also one of the pickup wires has cracked insulation. Not surprising considering it's 68 to 73 years old. Tandem-associates dot com says 6026W was an OEM match to my 1957 vintage #2018 steam loco among others. All in all happy with the condition for the price.

Lionel coal/whistle car...a great addition to my train set!
This coal/whistle car is in great shape! It reminds me of how much I enjoyed playing with my train set when I was a youth. My original coal car broke years ago, and now that I have a grandson, it spurred me on to buy a replacement...I'm glad I did.

Unit needed repair.
Seller said "whistle works well", but in fact the operation was somewhat unreliable. I completely overhauled unit---cleaning electrical contacts and replacing frayed wires---so that it NOW works well.

Good Postwar Tender for lionel
A nice tender for Lionel O gage trains. Has a whistle that is activated by most postwar Lionel transformers. Works well with many Lionel O gage Steam Engines. A good addition to any Lionel collection.

Good appearance and loud whistle.
The tender has a good appearance. It arrived on time and was well packed. Best of all, the whistle was loud !

Thrilled !
So happy to have found an original piece to add to my original Era locomotive. Have not run it yet, but it is proudly displayed. It came in the original box. Awesome !
