This infrared camera can capture images in dark conditions, up to a distance of 50-feet. With the time delay feature, this camera will click a picture within 1.2 seconds of motion detection. Works well, so far.
I have only had it in place about two weeks, but it sure takes nice pictures. Very clear with day light. Night and low light are about the same as any of my other trail cams. I have a number of pics that were taken across a field and they are at least 75 yards. Got a picture of a flock of turkey and you could count each individual turkey. I do recommend it. Purchased for home surveillance.
Purchased unit for home surveillance. Unit works as described, but having more optional settings would be nice. Possible for object to pass by before motion sensor activates camera, but will still show date/time information for when camera was activated. 2nd time is the charm
The first unit I received was dead on arrival; wouldn't show anything on the menu. So I returned to the company and they replaced it with a new unit which is working fine. MOULTRIE Game Spy A-5 Low Glow Infrared Digital Trail Game
ordered two of them. new of eBay, great price, easy to set up. only problem one works the other doesn't. they both turn on at first, put them out, went back a week later noticed the one wasn't triggering. checked the other one and it was triggering when I walked in front of it. fresh deer tracks all around it but no deer pictures. the one that wasn't triggering will not even turn on any more. I called for tech support and they walked me thru all the steps to reset it with no luck. so the camera has to go back at my expense. which is a real inconvenience for me. post office isn't open when I go to work and closed when I come home from work.I'll get there but its a pain. so right now I'm not really impressed with themBestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Not for small animals
I purchased this unit to see what animals were destroying my garden that I work hard to grow. I live in an urban area away from rural areas. A pack of Raccoons were hitting my yard almost every night. The A-5 has a very narrow field of view, and the movie mode does not seem to capture raccoon size animals at all. I use the 3 shot mode all the time because of that. The 3 shot mode works OK, but they have to be near the center of the camera's view to trigger it to work. Always had good luck with Moultrie until this camera
I've been using Moultrie cameras for a long time and have had really good luck with them. They always take good pictures and last for years and years. After some other brands I had eventually failed, I bought this camera on black Friday sale and received it a few days later. I put it in the front yard for initial testing and was somewhat disappointed with the picture quality and lack of sensitivity taking photos. Since it was under some trees, I thought it may be automatically turning down the sensitivity due to limb movement above the camera. I moved it to the field by one of my feeders and the picture quality didn't get any better. Every picture is fuzzy during the day and mostly blurs during night photos. The sensitivity is very low and the viewing angle is pretty narrow. If you get close enough to fire the picture, you see a very narrow strip. If you move back enough to get a wider picture, it won't take pictures as the sensitivity is too low. It is what it is, a cheap scouting camera with short sensitivity range and poor picture quality. Keep it on a small trail, aim it down the trail to give it plenty of time to capture and hope for the best.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

To much delay.
I don't like the one minute delay between pictures. That is the smallest delay setting on this camera. If I had known this I would not have bought this camera. Also it goes off every time the light changes, sunrise and sunset. It does have good battery life, it takes four c-cells, and the picture quality is good.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Great value and Quality
even a 61yo guy can set this up in minutes, and if you have a tablet with a micro sd card, and use a sd card with a micro card in the camera, you can carry the tablet, I use a 7" for this it fits in my pocket, I can view pictures anywere and easily. very nice product
this product is very nice. very easy setup. and the pictures are great and good not believe the night time pictures, they were very clear. also it can be activated from quite a distance I would say 50 yards plus. seems to be very durable.
