pretty to look at
I bought this for my ten year old - who is rather keen on Yoshi - it's a pretty game to look at, but it's not exactly hard to play (well, in the early stages), it's not like Mario games at all where you need to solve problems to progress, you need to collect fruit and avoid obstacles. Having said that, my ten year old likes it.

Classic racer with some great sprites that only Nintendo can do
Game works great and is one of the best mario kart games, second in my opinion to double dash..
