Author not fully recognised?
This author was recommended to me by my cousin as she writes about a forensic archaeologist in Norfolk (the Ruth Galloway series of 8 books) and they are excellent. I have now discovered this new series of Stephens and Mephisto novels set in 1950's Brighton. they are very different but equally absorbing light detective mysteries. Good stuff !
First novel in Elly Griffith's 'other' series....having read all her Ruth Galloway books, didn't know if I would like them as much.....but they are just as enjoyable. Likeable characters, great crime stories & very evocative of Brighton in the 1950s.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Characters you get to know and like.
Well written with rich characters and atmospheric settings. I am a big Galloway fan and these Brighton books are just as good. To me it's the characters that make a good story but there is so much more including good sprinkling of humour and location details. A most enjoyable read and great value. Zig zag girl ...a great read
