Crisper, clearer sound.
Practising and hearing as though you are in a church, rehearsal hall, great stuff! Although the product looks unused, age took its toll on the earphone pads, they crumbled when I tried to take them out of the plastic bag... this is no big problem though, important is that everything works fine and I can practise. It's not as quiet as my Sshhmute, but it has less resistance when playing.

Best of the best
Overall it’s better than I expected. Very light and very quiet. More quiet than my aluminum straight mute and you feel much less resistance. It could be a little louder on the headphones but I guess that’s a preference. I can play at home while my wife is watching tv in the other room and she doesn’t hear me. The sound on the headphones is pretty pleasing if you can play well and imitates a concert hall really well. It can work like a regular straight mute without hooking up the headphones and will do a better job than any other straight mute that I tried. I have a blast playing it. I don’t think you will find a better product for this purpose.

Silent Brass is OK BUT!
The Silent Brass trumpet mute allows you to play without disturbing others but the back pressure it creates impacts your high notes and the added weight and length of the mute is fatiguing and cumbersome. If you need quiet then it’s good. Not a good value at full retail.
