Use products made by "original" manufacturer!
Previously bought basket strainer "supposedly" made for Kohler kitchen sink which never fit exactly right! Bought Kohler product which cost more but it fits perfectly! Local Hardware Store "version" was purchased not on price but rather to replace well worn "original". Note, aftermarket products usually are of poorer quality than original. Perfect!
Searched for two weeks to find a strainer/stopper that would keep water in my older sink . After trying 3 that didn't work, I looked under the sink and found it was manufactured by Kohler. Took a chance and ordered the Kohler K-8803 Duostrainer. Perfect! Not only is it perfect, but it is a quality item that should last me forever.
