budget item, bargain price
not the best quality sound chip available but excellent value, great for the kids who just want to play! The speakers are OK but easy to upgrade and that makes a good difference. These Hornby items are a doddle to set up using Railmaster.

Reasonably Priced
Reasonably priced compared to other loco sound decoders. Can be improved by fitting a mega bass speaker. This is my third Hornby TTS, I have fitted them to a 67, 37, and 47 and all have been very good. Perhaps perfectionist like to spend £125 plus believing that if it costs more, it sounds better but everything depends on your pocket in the end.

I put a base type speaker much better sound. not bad with the one Hornby one but better with the other one

Overpriced
This item is way above its RRP, but since it is not in production anymore, it is the next available cheapest option.
