Good quality step up from Tourney TX gearing.
I bought this to replace my cheap Tourney TX derailleur on my Giant hybrid bike. I wasn't totally sure this was going to be an worthwhile replacement but went ahead anyway as I had never really got on with the bargain basement Tourney system. So glad I did as the fitting was straight forward, although this was my first go at derailleur replacement and the gear shifting is now much more positive and smooth. Quality or materials is perfectly acceptable throughout and a step up the ladder from the Tourney TX. Even better if you could replace the gear shifters at the same time!

Genuine Shimano 8 speed rear mech !
It's genuine Shimano! ..at a great price. If you need a good mid-range component grade replacement rear mech to work flawlessly on an 8 speed system, this one's for you.

Good value everyday shifter
Easy fit direct replacement on my old Giant Rainier MTB.. It's not at the high end of equipment but it is ideal for everyday use and does a workman like job.
