I love poetry for its capacity to help you see in new ways. I also love it for the variety of perspectives and styles represented by poets around the world. This book was highly recommended to me, and yet I'm on the third entry and the poems are all still talking about autumn and leaf mould!! They seem like barely different shades of beige, with one day's entry barely differing from the previous one. There is also -concerningly- very little reference to Jesus, to God or to scripture, which is not at all what I expect or look for in something billed as a devotional book. I thoroughly prefer and recommend Waiting on the Word by Malcolm Guite and will be reading that instead.

  • A good read

This makes an interesting read, I haven’t finished it yet but it is my current favourite read as recommended by someone at church
