Original quality good value comparatively
Lost ability for speed on my 12v Terrova. After talking to Minn Kota they said most likely problem was the control board as long a motor worked with direct power. So hot wired motor and it worked fine. Ordered this part and it was a matter of replacing old one with new one. Not electrically inclined but all it was was a plug and play. Removed old one taking plenty of photos to see old connections. Cleaned up contacts and replaced. Motor works fine now. Recommend this site as free shipping came very fast and price was lower than anyone else with original equipment. Attached is old unit with different views. Took at least half dozen more for reference. Notice how filthy it was no wonder it was no good.

Bad reed switch
When first installed, system ready light stayed on when motor was in stowed position.And, my remote couldn't find the motor. To trouble shoot, I connected my foot control ( which I never use.) and everything worked as it should. I then removed the reed switch from the old control module to find out how it worked. Found it closed the circuit when activated by a magnet. So I bared the wires on the new module and connected them together and the system ready light went out.This indicated the reed switch its self was bad. So I cut off the reed switch on the new control module and wired in the old reed switch. Now the system ready light goes out when activated by a magnet. And to sweeten the pot, my remote connected within seconds. Back on the water......yay!!!Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
