best processor for upgrade
The price is good, very affordable CPU to upgrade 6 years old AMD based laptop from single core ( AMD Sempron SI-42) to dual core processor. Make sure that your motherboard support this processor. Take me 30 minutes to swap it. Laptop works great, windows 7 fresh install went well, no problem so far. Windows Experience Index for CPU jump from 3.1 to 4.9 with new processor. Now I have up to date laptop with Windows 7. Everything runs smooth and fast, Office, and all business programs runs good. Youtube did not freeze anymore on a full screen mode. New processor is 35 watt vs. old 25 watt, is a little bit hotter, but before surfing internet alone on laptop was PITA, slow and any browser with more then 3 tabs open freeze randomly, now it is working like any other cheap modern laptop. Multitasking is good. 10 tabs on Firefox + downloading on a background + couple word documents open + music, everything work. Watching full screen movies now no problem in any format. P.S.
