great value
Very handy piece of gear. Adjustable suspension can adapt to different mic sizes. Easy to use with a boom pole or just the pistol grip. The included dead cat does a great job of eliminating wind noise in outdoor situations. Fits in a tote bag. Worth the money.

Great wind protection for field recordists
A little heavy for boom pole use, but with the weight comes a good deal of robustness. I'd have no problem hauling this five miles out a trail to record a waterfall with the blimp mounted on a stand or tripod. I might have a problem booming with it for ten straight hours. My back isn't what it used to be. I would not get this without the wombat (dead cat for anyone who doesn't speak Rode Australian Sound Terms). The blimp alone will do a decent job of protecting the mic from the occasionally rough boom swing, but take it outside in the wind and it needs its hairy companion. This is solid value for the price. Right on, Rode!

Nice blimp
Good blimp. Nice price on eBay. Rode mic is snug inside protected from any wind. The blimp even comes with a brush to brush the wombat hair. Seems like a good system and easy to setup.

One of The Best Shotgun Mic Wind Suppressor On The Market
There is not much to say about the Blimp II. I think the new shotgun mount is sturdy and robust enough for the Mic. Comes with the dead cat that makes this a complete wind suppression device.

Rode Micberg Blimp
Works great. Its not a stiff blimp but is flexible in the honeycomb looking area. Grip feels good, joint locks when you want it to.

Rycote WS4 is a lightweight winner of a windshield.
The Rycote WS4 is a light weight, effective, noise free, windshield. Smaller and much lighter than the Rode blimp. If you boom this should be in your kit.

Excellent product
The ride blimp creates a big “still airspace” around my microphone... I get zero wind noise in my recordings...
