HP / Agilent / Keysight 33120A Direct Digital Synthesis 100uHz to 15MHz Function Generator
Relatively heavy, requires 28 Watts of power, has a fan (which wears out), has a dated unintuitive menu system and only a single output. Unlike many later models, there is no frequency counter function.
However, for just over £300, you get an instrument that originally cost thousands, with sine-wave purity rather better that the similarly-priced competition, along with square, triangle, sawatooth, white noise and (programmable) arbitrary waveform output.
The above can be internally or externally AM, FM, FSK and Burst-modulated.
There is also a frequency-sweep ('wobbulator') function.
The frequency accuracy and stability are excellent.
It looks like a bargain - what could possibly go wrong?
When I was looking for one (Q1 2021) there were more 'rough' examples on offer than 'good' ones, with most examples in America, from where the carriage costs put the price up to unacceptable levels .
