I have a cc 42" 3 spindle deck and this replaced my broken idle tension spring pretty well. Force on the belt feels about the same. Only issue with this is one end is different than the one it replaces. I ended up making a steel bushing to make the mating hole smaller so the spring would be held in place better. The existing post that held the old spring loop was punched out and the bushing holding the wire diameter was pressed on, works well now.
