Amazing tone and volume
I had Spirocore lights on my bass. I changed two strings so I had spirocore and Obligatos on the bass. The tone and volume from the Obligato strings totally out classed the spirocores. Ok the Obligatos are a little heavier (medium tension) but I found because of this I didn't have to chase the string all over the finger board to play the next note. Also I found my intonation was vastly improved as the string stayed put, returning to its original position very quickly after the string was plucked/slapped/bowed. Playing with the bow sounded so much better and easier to get a true tone without squeaks. Yes I had to put in a bit of practise to gain a little more strength needed to play these heavier strings, but well worth it for the amazing tone and volume Obligatos have.
