The adapter works for a HP Mellanox Conn...
The adapter works for a HP Mellanox ConnectX-3 546SFP+. There's a side screw for the slot that aligns with the chassis. The adapter bracket for the back doesn't fit the NIC though, so I've secured the bracket to the chassis with screws but the NIC is just sitting there relying on the ports below it and the strength of the PCIE slot.

Works as expected
Fits perfect in my M720q to add an I350-T4 quad-port ethernet adapter. Note, this setup will not fit if you have a 2.5 SATA drive.
