A Model of its Time
This is a 1971-vintage model kit. As such, it has all the strengths and weaknesses of models from that period. It's simple and easy to assemble. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. Two interesting color schemes are provided, with appropriate decals. The parts have a small amount of flash and will require cleanup before assembly. Like many older airplane models, this one has raised rivets molded in. Some modelers will want to sand them off. I bought this kit mainly as a nostalgia trip. Good except for main gear assembly.
Why do you ask "is it durable?" Its a plastic model airplane! They are all delicate replicas, not intended for careless handling. For it age, its a well made kit. Some issues with landing gear fit and assembly method. The mounting holes do not fit the gear andcan omly be assembled off the wing, however the nacelle halves only align when on the wing.
