Working On a Nextbook Ares 11A Android Tablet
This was a low-priced buy in a Tablet/Laptop. Sold very reasonably as a "defective" unit, the one I received was in great physical shape and good working condition. The issue that cropped up in use was related to WiFi disconnection at low signal strength; an issue I remedied by working closer to the router. This computer has great speed, good storage at 64GB, and a bright, clear 11" LCD screen. The dockable base has easy-to-use keys and a good track pad with the semi-easy to use mouse button built into it. I chose Nextbook brand because I have another smaller tablet of theirs and it, too is well-made and a pleasure to use. Two issues that cause me concern over the Android Marshmallow OS are, one, the flaky connectivity that seems, according to forums on-line to be Android 6.x related. Trying suggested fixes didn't work for me. Second, unlike a Windows, Mac or Linux OS-powered device, Android offers no drivers for USB-type external WiFi devices; something that would have remedied the low signal strength problem for me. Having developers make Android, for at least tablets, more like other computing devices would make it and the tablets it powers far more desirable.

Great Purchase
My daughter bought this to replace her previous tablet that was broken. The screen size and resolution is perfect as she prefers the larger size for watching videos and such and enjoys the detachable keyboard. Great product for a low price.

Compact with good features
It is compact yet not so small that I have to squint at the screen. I love the convenience of having a keyboard. It has good processor speed and I've seen no lag time when using apps or programs. The memory and storage capacity are perfectly fine for my needs. I like that I have the ability to expand the onboard capacity with a micro SD card.

Nextbook Ares 11A, 2GB ram and 64G Flash Memory review: It works very good for the first half an hour. Then, when it warms up, the CPU start to lower the clock to reduce the heat. Because it has no cooling fan, CPU heats up over time. The designer had no choice either to let the CPU blow up or reduce the clock to cool off a bit. You can easily see it when the moving an object on screen picture starts jerking and have no continous moving. This problem could be because of the GPU section and not CPU itself.

Strong for an Android
Great tablet! Fast and strong it's actually more snappy than my laptop! Sharp, bright, responsive screen. Backlit keyboard works perfectly, and glows a very nice shade of blue bright enough to see, but not so bright it blinds you while typing. Full stereo audio, exellent WIFI and bluetooth range and stability. Good battery life, but not great. Not the best tablet, but VERY nice for the price!!

Awesome for the price
Not a high price 2-in-1 Tablet but it performs fine for basic things. Very portable,well made and I personally love Android. Easy to upgrade to to 6.0.1 from file at manufacturer's site. Is a secure locked bootloader so forget rooting it. Backlit keyboard and Intel processor is a plus.

Easy Peasy
Best tablet I've ever had - nice picture, sound, easy set up - battery goes quickly but hey can't have everything. The charger that came with it got very hot so we switched it with another one from Kindle that we had.

Nextbook Ares 11A
The next book is so much more reliable than the ipad 2 I have. Faster, no browser lockups. Only problem is the Barret life, it runs down after only a couple of hours of use. Recharge time is short though. Overall very happy with the purchase.
