edible wheel
whilst I am delighted with the wheel no one was more pleased that the Degu's who received it they are busily eating it away. This wheel has a flat cork running surface and is much better that the type with wooden treads every so often as this causes trips and falls resulting in limping pets. all in all very happy with the wheel but I expect to replace it soon as it appears to be very tasty to Degu's.

Great quality and NOT SQEAKY!
Previous plastic wheels unsuccessful owing to excessive squeaking and joints wearing away very quickly. This wheel is still silent after 3 weeks use by 2 busy degus - and although it's wood, they have only nibbled the inner lining (cork?) and not eaten any of the wheel!! Also the connecting joint is showing no signs of wear. When this wheel does wear out I will definitely buy another one of these to replace it.

Too wobbly and too eccentric.
The wheel runs really eccentrically (wobbly), to the extent where the hamster can’t continuously run like he used to on is older smaller wheel, as he half falls off the side l. It’s a shame because overall the wheel is well made, just not balanced in either longitude or latitude .

Not like the picture
The wheel is okay, but doesn't look like wheel in the photo. The wood grips in the picture are not there and the inside of the wheel is replaced by a sort of plush material. Which is nice for hamster feet! No splinters!

The wheel .
This us a perfect size wheel for syrian hamsters and degus. Although degus have a tendancy to eat them ! Easily fixed using a cake tin :)

Excellent wheel
Our Syrian Hamster absolutely loves his new wheel! He can run really fast in a natural position rather than being cramped in his previous much smaller plastic wheel. Best thing we have bought for our little pet.
