Old bicycle cards 8082 seem to be better than the newer jumbo cards.
As a very amateur magician., I find the the old thicker 8082 cards are far better than the thinner, newer version of the jumbo ( 5x7 "big "box deck") Others may disagree but I find the newer "big box" cards may be better for certain purposes, but they are too thin for me to use for most of my magic tricks. The disadvantages in the old 8020 Jumbo might be : a) they don't slide as well and (b) there is sometimes a color difference in red back in the red decks. The color is more uniform in the blue back cards. If anyone reads this and is interested I am happy to send instructions to any young beginning magicians (or old ones also) a few tricks that can be done with Jumbo cards.
