Leia in Crisis
Putting obvious reasons of Star Wars VII release on Dec. 18, and childhood fanfare aside, my biggest reason for purchasing POTF Princess Leia w/ Slave Outfit and R2D2 from ROTJ sixth scale figures is due to the narrow duh minded political forces against "Slave Leia" complaints for Disney to ban "Slave Leia" toy figures from store shelves after 30 years as a negative image for today's young girls? Barbie where's a one or two piece swim suit for 50+ years plus, I believe Mattel recently had a "Slave Leia" Barbie figure, with little or no complaints while Leia is a sci-fi character, where's many hats and outfits from New Hope to ROTJ films with no complaints. Buy those for today's young girls. "Slave Leia" is harmless. Star Wars is for sci-fi fans. Carrie Fisher's character doll figure has her facial likeness with Barbie's molded figure. Her "slave girl" outfit, thanks to Jabba the Hutt, held her captive while trying to save Han Solo, is very accurate in detail like on film next to "Slave R2."
