Wonderful Storybook
I loved this story when I was a little girl, and I passed my own book down to my son. Unfortunately, as a toddler, he tore off the back pages. I have purchased another copy for his fourth birthday this year. Hopefully, he may take care of it and pass it on to his children. I love this story. Droofus the Dragon learns the value of hard work, and the rewards of helping others. In the end he, in turn, is protected by his friends. This is a really great book for teaching kids the value of kindness and helping others. It takes about ten minutes to read, and it is great for all ages!

Always loved Bill Peet! This is one of his better stories and the illustrations are great.
