Nothing like it, but doesn't last as long as you would hope.
If you are lubing up a leaf catching basket gasket for your vacuum or the backwash valve in your system, this is the stuff to use (noticed the last 2 pool repair companies I've had out over the years both used this as well). The only problem is that it doesn't last as long as you would hope. I tried to use Vaseline as a cheap alternative when I ran out a few years ago and all it goes is become gunkier and thicker and gunkier with time... it is not an alternative to Magic Lube. If you use it to lubricate something like your backwash valve, it will feel like a dream for a few weeks and then go back to being impossibly hard to move again unfortunately. Probably just the nature of chlorine breaking everything down.

The BEST for lubricating pool / spa O-rings
I have used Aladdin Magic Lube PTFE based grease on my pool pump/ filter O-rings and filter basket gaskets for over 10 years, and am VERY happy with it. Very sticky (a good thing) and seems to have high water resistance. Apply a few times a year, Oh, it also seems to seal many small leaks caused by minor imperfections in the used O-ring / seals. Great stuff, and perryspoolpump delivered it ultra-fast at a great price.

Never assemble without it.
Great product. I use this on everything that has o-rings, from the pool pump valve to garden sprayer hoses and pressure washer fittings. Before I made my purchase I did a little research, both for usability and price. This formulation and brand is recommended all over the Internet and I might add justly so because it does exactly what it is supposed to do. It lubricates parts during assembly and seals potential leaks between o-rings and metal or plastic parts. Great stuff!

The best rubber lube on the market!
this stuff is amazing. I use it on ALL rubber seals, gaskets, and O rings. It makes it easier to install, keeps the rubber from getting damaged, and even helps to seal. Great product, great price!!!!!!!!

Handy Aladdin Magic Lube.
I have found many uses for Aladdin Magic Lube but it is seals on pressure washers, in fact I use it on any "O" ring seal. The seals never roll. It protects seals from hardening and keeps them pliable. It is also good for water hose seals, it lubricates them and keeps them from leaking. A good quality product.

Not dense enough
I had a small plastic container of this and have had it for years I really liked it because it had a very dense consistancy. I was doing a job that required something with a lot of holding power and the container I had fit the bill being so thick. I was putting together a whole house water filter and was having difficulity keeping the O rings in place I used what I had and it worked like a charm. So I bought a 5 oz tube When I received it I had a use for it putting a pool filter together. The consistancy was not very dense it was about the same as vasaline. It is to bad that your new product is not as firm as your older product I will use it and go back to vasaline. I will keep my old container for difficult O rings.

Great for hot tub union joints
I have a 20 year old Jacuzzi hot tub that requires small thread couplings for the heater section. Subsequently, I had to modify the gaskets/O-rings with gasket material. I needed a product that would ensure complete water seal. This product is resilient and met my needs completely! .

This is great stuff... been using it for years on pool equipment O-rings & seals.. works wonders on old cracked O-rings.

Helpful stuff
I but this at the pool store, so when I saw it on EBay I ordered. This stuff is great for luring the top of the inline chlorinated and the top of the filter. It keeps the seals moist so they don't deteriorate. I will order more when this runs out.

Good Lube for Pool pump o-rings.
Very good Lube . Fully transparent and no color lube. Cheaper for few bucks than my local pool store. Used in on all o-rings in my pool pump. after i put new O-ring and added lube there is no more air in the pump.
