Great single cup brewing
I bought this coffee maker to replace my single cup maker. This particular one had all the options I was looking for, fresh grinding was my first priority. The hopper holds enough coffee for several single cup grinds. It also will brew a full pot and it stays hot for hours in the thermal pot that’s included. Highly recommend this maker. One negative I found: it comes with a gold filter basket for the grounds so you won’t need a paper filter. I found that when I used the filter the coffee had a distinct taste of medal and was very off putting, I now use just a paper filter and the coffee comes out tasting much better. Great idea but old school paper filter is better!

Covers all the bases!
Breville Grind Control Coffee Maker is easy to use. Allows the regulation of the grounds and controls the strength of the brew. The carafe is very effective in keeping the coffee warm for long periods. The only draw back is the need for cleaning. Though not a big problem, it will need cleaning of the grinder in particular and that is easily accomplished. The carafe is difficult to clean without a good brush. On the whole, this is a good serviceable coffee maker. This is our second one and would recommend it to anyone who desires to control the grinding and brewing of their coffee.

Excellent coffee you can personalize to taste and strength
We have been looking for a coffee maker that would freshly grind the beans, but be more than just an expresso machine at the high price. The Breville has been the perfect match. You can choose grind, strength and have the option of a carafe or individual cups with varying amounts for each. The Breville is exceptionally easy to use and the quality of construction and looks is tops. As with any filter machine you have to dump out the grounds, add water and occasionally clean the grinder. However, the extra effort is worth the taste of coffee to your specifications. The carafe also keeps the coffee hot for several hours which is a nice plus. We have now relegated our Keurig to the occasional use and will pay for the Breville in just a few months of not using the Keurig. Not to mention less trash that the K-cups require.

Great machine with awesome design
This coffee machine has a very clear and easy screen for the user to use. It tells me how much water I add and how strong the coffee I want. I checked online video to learn how to clean it and just to find out it was not difficult. I enjoy grinding and brewing my coffee every other days with this awesome machine.

Enjoying fresh coffee
Small learning curve. Yes it is wonderful. The quality is top notch. Coffee stay hot for hours without a heating pad area. Really like that aspect so coffee doesn't continually heat. Coffee tastes fresh. Grinder is a bit loud but only lasts seconds. Great purchase and it was used.

The grind coffee maker
We are really enjoying our new coffee maker. Having freshly brewed coffee that was ground seconds before is a real treat. There’s only one tricky part and that is if the shoot where the ground coffee comes out gets damp somehow. It will clog. There’s a relatively easy fix however. Here’s what to do… 1. Clean out the clog 2. Vacuum up the grounds 3. Dry out the shoot with a hairdryer 4. You are ready to brew

A leap ahead
We had a Cuisinart Grind and Brew coffee maker for years. It made OK coffee but was a pain to work: the grinder, which you remove, clean and dry every time, would frequently get stuck and be impossible for my wife to remove, and inside there were often whole beans glued to the top of the grinder by the coffee powder created by the grinder blades.The carafe top would stick and some mornings I’d come down to counter and drawers soaked in coffee. The fine powder would accumulate in the rails of the basket holder until it was nearly frozen. I had to clean it periodically with a Water-pick. The Breville, on the other hand, is much easier to clean, easier to operate, has two ways to control strength (from, to me, colored water to a nice rich cup of coffee) and is extraordinary versatile. It may not make espresso, but it sure satisfies every other coffee craving I have. I love it!

Coffee heaven
I’ve been vacillating about a Grind Control and another hi tech maker about the same price. I pulled the trigger got a great deal on EBay and each morning sit in my easy chair quietly smiling from ear to ear. Easy to use, grinder help make the freshest cup ever. Extremely happy owner.

Great coffee
I'm kind of a coffee snob, so easy wasn't important to me. There's a bit of a learning curve, but when you get it down, this thing makes incredible coffee! Several ways to adjust cup size, grind size and strength to customize your cup.

great tasting
makes great tasting coffee, alot of clean up when grinding coffee and alot of waste because it doesnt gring very fine
