If you sometimes have a yen for your mother's cooking, this book will do the trick. There are many simple recipes using few ingredients, with the focus on spices. A friend called me recently looking for a recipe we always enjoyed back in the day, but I no longer had a copy of it. Then I remembered the source and ordered the book. I made a copy of the shared and loved recipe and am now sending the book on to her.
The book is in good condition considering the age, print is a little small for older eyes, but it's all there to enjoy.
For an inexpensive paperback cookbook, this is packed with a variety of recipes to entice and challenge most cooks. It was originally published to encourage the use of spices. Forty years later, I still like to keep a copy on hand.
