This 4-Port Gigabit Wireless N router provides wireless speeds up to 600 Mbps for up to four different devices. This device comes with the open source DD-WRT firmware already installed. This firmware allows you to customize the settings of your router for your particular situation. The customization options you can tweak include security options and wireless performance. You can easily change the configuration for when your situation changes such as moving into a larger home. In addition to Wi-Fi networks using 801.22n, this wireless router is also compatible with the IEEE 802.11g/b/a protocols.The WZR-600DHP allows you to connect up to four network-enabled wired devices through Gigabit Ethernet connections. Both the WAN and LAN ports support Gigabit connections. If your device supports Wi-Fi, you can connect it to this Buffalo router. Electronics like HDTVs, gaming consoles, printers, and computers can take advantage of fast download speeds. The Buffalo DD-WRT device even supports devices like smart scales, smartphones, and cameras. The dual band support allows multiple devices to access the Buffalo DD-WRT device at the same time. Reliable routing at its best
I have had absolutely no issue with the function, fit and finish, or uptime of this product. I have read much about poor signal strength and frequent dropouts but have had not such experiences. I eventually updated the firmware to DDWRT to support my need for a specific VPN service but can go back without issue. 100% uptime, great signal strength in my small appartment with 6' mason block and wooden partition for room separation. Great router
Buffalo routers are the best, especially with the DDWRT firmware that comes with most of them (and can be installed on most of them if it isn't by default).
