Black sole is good, but feels narrower than standard
I bought these because I wanted a sole that wouldn't discolor from foot oils over time. At some point I will ask my cobbler to resole my existing sandals using this footbed. However, it is rougher-feeling than the leather lined footbeds and seems narrower than usual. Definitely not a sole I would want to walk on all day long, but it will work for "dressier" sandals.

Comfort but doesn't fit easily into most shoes
It is exactly what it looks like....the cork bed of a Birkenstock shoe and as such is very unbending and thick. Won't fit easily into many shoes. However I got them for my rain boots and they are great in there.

These insoles are authentic!
Wonderful insoles! No need to buy brand new clogs if your old insoles break down. These are located in Germany, home of the best shoes ever. Thank you for my authentic cork foot beds! Saved me from buying brand new clogs!

Better than Superfeet for ski boot liners.
Much better arch support plus grippy ridge between the ball of the foot & toes. It took a bit of sanding & shaping to make them fit into my racing ski boots, but they're so much better (and cheaper) than my old Superfeet custom liners.
