A Great Pair of Jean.
Levis 501 jeans are comfortable to wear and very durable. I have worn them long before they were called 501's. It is very important that attention be paid to the shrinkage that is going to occur during the first time being laundered. Select the size allowing for this and you will have a pair of jeans that will last a long time.

Every pair fits totally different
I have had several pair of 501 jeans and none of them fit the same, they are consistently different in many ways, small things like rear pocket detail, buttons are not always lined up the same, even if you try them on before you buy them doesn’t mean they will fit after several washings, they continue to shrink to the point where as they age you can’t get into them! Overrated product! I would not recommend!

Newer Style 401(s), not really what I like, but I didn't look close enough
My error, I didn't look close enough, these are the "newer" style that don't have the double sewn seams,and the better denim. The fit is different as well. They were what they advertised as 401s, and I don't have a problem, I should have looked closer..
