My first Sigma
This will be the first Sigma lens i have owned and it's a good one. I'm using this adapted on a GH5, and although not officially supported by the adapter it has done a brilliant job so far. It is quite compact for it's focal range at the wide end, then of course extends to maybe double it's length at he long end. The only negatives would be on rare occasion it has struggled to focus on very close and distant objects, and the aperture not being reported properly. But i put those down to the adapter and not the lens. All in all i would totally recommend this lens, for native use especially.

Das vielseitige Immerdrauf
Mit Kamera und diesem Objektiv ist man eigentlich unterwegs recht komplett ausgerüstet. Der Zoombereich ist riesig und die Bildqualität absolut in Ordnung. Nur im direkten, kritischen Vergleich am Computerbildschirm fällt auf, dass beispielsweise ein hochwertiges Objektiv mit fester Brennweite in Sachen Bildschärfe manchmal einfach noch besser abschneidet. Dafür ist das Ding ohne Zoom natürlich längst nicht so vielseitig und der Schärfeunterschied ist nicht so groß, dass er auf Ausdrucken, selbst bis hin zum Posterformat, überhaupt auffallen würde. Die Nachteile der bestenfalls durchschnittlichen Lichtstärke lassen sich zumindest teilweise durch die Stabilisierung kompensieren, die längere Belichtungszeiten verwacklungsfrei zulässt. Natürlich gibt es für spezielle Aufgaben oder für Leute, für die Geld keine Rolle spielt, immer auch noch bessere Objektive. Als vielseitiges, bezahlbares "Immerdrauf" ist das Sigma für mich nach wie vor erste Wahl.

Great buy looking forward to getting full use of it
It’s a great all round lens that saves the need to carry extra heavy lenses around when out walking, good for the long range and close up photography that suits my needs

Good all round day trip lens.
Before buying this I was forever swapping a 18-55mm and the 70-300mm when I could be bothered 😕 but now I find this does nearly the same thing without all the swapping 👍

Great for travel
I'm flying abroad with a budget airline so, limited baggage allowance. Knowing that I'd only be able to take 1 lens, THIS is the lens!

sigma lens
Had the canon 18-200 lens that packed in, bought this one as a replacement and found it to be a much better lens so far.

Better than the Kit Lens
Got this for a general walk about lens that will give a little more zoom than the kit lens. I was very pleasantly surprised that quality is better than my Canon Kit lens too.
