High aura of quality and practicality!
This is my second purchase of this watch. I gifted the first to my son who sheepishly asked about how it wears and he just loves it. This one happened to be a store demo and in minty condition. Battery not charging fully but I purchased the battery capacitor replacement. Overall, an excellent value one watch option for work or travel and slightly dressy. Extremely well made for a mid-price watch. Yes a bit heavy and a bit large but it never looks overstated or cheap. New versions are not as aesthetically pleasing as the original panda! Unfortunately the US version lacks sapphire crystal and engraved case back but there are places that can replace the crystal with a sapphire one. Found out later this is called the Ron Swanson because that character is always seen wearing this watch. I have grown as a collector into modern Swiss watches by Omega, Yema, Tag, and Zodiac and I thought I would have gotten over the love affair since I tend to buy and flip as soon as I hate something about a watch. But this one calls me back for its aura of quality and practicality and "toolishness". I also bought the wall clock version of this watch! I have owned one of these watches since 2006 and it was. Daily wearer subject to all sorts of bumps, knocks and weather. Eventually one button was knocked so much the mechanism needed replacement. Loved the watch so much I purchased a good 2nd hand Stainless Steel model and fitted the movement to my Titanium case.
