A vintage RCA 6AS7G tube and tube socket can provide authenticity to a project. These vacuum tubes light up the inside of a preamp or amplifier when the lights go down on the stage. With the clear glass vacuum tubes protecting the filament, this tube glows to indicate peak performance. They deliver 100 watts of illumination within the evacuated glass tube. The matched pair of tubes can power antique brands of radios, amps, jukeboxes, and other gear.The triode tubes each deliver about 4 volts of power. They burn at a maximum 10 mA of current. Their low impedance output can make these tubes ideal for use in voltage regulation circuits. The RCA 6AS7G tubes make use of triode wiring. In this type of wiring, there are three electrodes inside of an evacuated glass envelope, providing power and stability. The characteristics of the glass include transparency and insulation for heat and light. The first part of the three piece setup consists of the heated tung-sol filament, which is the cathode. The tung-sol filament is often a pair of wires twisted together to create a thicker surface for the electrons to pass. The second part of the product is the metal grid that collects and concentrates electrons. The third portion of the wiring is the plate, or anode. These low power triodes have a concentric construction. This means that the grid envelops the cathode. The cathode is arranged as a long, narrow metal pipe down the tube's center. Within the cathode's center is the filament, which glows red hot. As an indirectly heated cathode, it reaches temperatures of up to 1,700 degrees Fahrenheit. The cathode is coated with a mixture of alkaline earth solids, such as mica. These solids deliver more electrons to the cathode's screen.When the pins are plugged into the tube's socket, the anode plates release electrons. The grid makes the electrons arrange themselves in a helical array. The electrons begin lining up and move toward the cathode. After passing through the cathode, the electrons deliver electricity to your audio equipment. The base of these products is painted black in order to minimize reflection of the light from the heated filament. More detail, but less bass than the Shu Guang 6N5PJ

Very Good Upgrade over stock Chinese tubes
Replaced the power tube on my DarkVoice 336SE headphone amp with this tube. It sounds a lot sweeter, fuller, better mid-range and a wider soundstage. The bass is not quite as fast as the stock Chinese tube, but it sounds fatter and rounder. Overall, this tube is far more musical and will not cause listener fatigue.Bestätigter Kauf: Ja
