New life for my older MacBook
I am so glad I saw this Crucial solid stat drive at the price it was offered. I had been setting up my late 2008 Aluminum 13 in MacBook to use one of the older OS X operating systems and decided on Mountain Lion. That was the last of Apple's magic experience operating systems. The new stuff is unnecessarily annoying and controls have been eliminated or moved to inconvenient places. I know this because I have all the latest (El Capitan) stuff on my MacBook Pro and it is a pain to work with. So, I have been recreating the MacBook as Steve Jobs intended it to be. Friendly, elegant, artistically designed user interface and all. My only problem was the sound and vibration of a spinning disk hard drive. Some solid state drives are not compatible with older MacBooks, but I knew the Crucial M500 series would work. It works wonderfully. Drawing, resizing objects by pulling on corners and slider adjustments are smooth. Cursor movement is smoother than the newer OS X can deliver. No crashes, no updates every other week, no frozen memory problems. When I use older, stable, well designed versions of Pages, Keynote, iMovie and other user tested, Steve Jobs approved applications I remember why I only bought Apple products since 1987. If you miss the fun, magic and ease of creating art, music, video, spreadsheets and presentations on a Mac computer, put one of these Crucial hard drives in your older Mac. Good Little SSD
Have installed this SSD in a desktop computer with a 1TB drive for storage.. Very fast at booting Windows 10 and so far works like a charm. Perfect Upgrade!
This ssd was a much needed upgrade for my Asus Core i7 notebook. The installation was plug and play, the 2.5mm ssd fit in place of my original hdd without any modifications. There is no lag or delay in the boot up, or loading of applications. My boot up time is around 6 or 7 seconds, the system is definitely more responsive now. 3 years on another one of these and still happy
I have another one of these that I got new - had it for over 3 years and still really fast - averaging 500 mb/s for read and around 300 mb/s for writes. Bought another one for RAID 0 array and reaching around 1 gb/s read and 550 mb/s write speeds.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Generalüberholt
