The remote control sends radio frequencies to the vehicle, so operators are always in control of the Terrain Twister's direction and speed. It runs on a frequency of 27 or 49MHz and operates within a range of up to 65 feet. Forward, backward, or even side-to-side movements are achieved using the twin-button remote controller. The left joystick controls direction. Move it up, down, left, right, or even at an angle, and the car's direction will match it. Releasing your thumb from the joystick is all it takes to stop the car. The right button adjusts the angle of the pontoons. Using both buttons at the same time results in the Terrain Twister making an arcing movement.For extra convenience and endless possibilities of excitement, this RC vehicle comes with a rechargeable battery pack. The rechargeable 7.2V TMH Flexpak battery lasts through high-powered play. When the battery needs a boost, plug it into the included wall charger for about 5.5 hours. It lasts through approximately 1,000 recharges. The cover for the battery pack screws tightly onto the toy to help keep out dirt and moisture no matter where you drive it. The windowed box also comes with two AA batteries for the wireless controller.Hot Wheels Terrain Twister toys are for people ages 8 and up. The vehicles come in multiple color schemes, including blue, green, orange, red, and camouflage. All colors of the toys feature sleek black accents. Most colors of the cars run on a 27 MHz frequency, but the green version runs on 49 MHz. For more than one user, consider purchasing vehicles that operate on different frequencies. Highly disappointed!

Same as the original
I had the original Terrain Twister that was made by Tyco and finally decided to rebuy it since it broke years ago. It looks almost identical and works exactly the same way. It works great, is fast, is long range for a simple toy, and will plow through almost anything. You can tell the remote control is made of cheap plastic but that doesn't change the functionality at all. Christmas Gift

This vehicle is a lot of fun, and i recommend it. However, I wore down the spirals on the driveway, and it doesn't have much traction anymore.
