Best. TV. Series. Ever
The Wire is heartachingly, profoundly, unsparingly real. One piece of advice to first-time viewers: some characters speak a very narrow local American dialect and it can be very difficult to understand. In fact, the African American actors playing the roles, didn't understand it either. My advice is to not fight it. Don't struggle to understand every word. Just watch the characters and let the words wash over you. After a few episodes it will all make sense. This show is so real I really believe there is a Bubbles, Stringer Bell, and so on.

Awesome Show, great price!
This was an awesome show that I wanted to ad to my movie / television DVD collection. This was the best price I found anywhere! I checked major retailers, in store and online but this was the BEST / LOWEST price I could find anywhere! Shipping was relatively quick too.

Excellent. Intense, insightful, well worth watching
"The Wire" is one of the best TV drama series ever. The writing is top notch and the acting is superb. You learn a lot about life in the inner city, while being entertained in the process. After you've watched a few episodes, the show becomes addictive. At the end of the final episode of the last (fifth) season, I felt a profound sense of loss. "The Wire" made an indelible imprint on my mind. An amazing production.

This series hands down is one of the best tv show ever created when you watch this series you need no interruption no man,no woman,no baby around to distract you.this series is a must watch, must have.

Excellent Series
Has always been one of my favorite TV series, ever since I watched it. Always looking for a good bargain on the box set. I have no complaints with this DVD set. I thought it wasn't playing right when i first tried on my newest TV but that turned out to be a function of the TV and not the DVDs. When I switched to my primary RV it worked fine Might have been a few spots that were jerky but I cleaned off the DVD and worked fine This is an excellent series. You can take a peek into the world of drug dealing and law enforcement. Much of what you see is hard to believe it might actually go on. But very compelling nonetheless. Great series. Great characters and great bargain.

Great Box Set.
Delivery was early. I enjoyed the inner city story. It is so real about life in Baltimore.

Great police story.Almost as good as Longmire!
It’s a 5 Star product because I am a retired Baltimore City Police Officer and I lived this story! Dominic West’s portrayal of Jimmy McNulty May be the best of any character in any series!!!

Temas muy crudos que suceden en la vida real. Drogas Sexo Violencia Corrupción política y abuso de poder. Serie para adultos. Interesante pero lenta. Un drama con gran contenido semejante a nuestra realidad.
