No "Trouble" with this movie.
Me and my brother grew up with this movie, and recently I bought this to give as a gift to my little brother so he would have one of his own. It has A brilliant story about a boy band selling Con man with a heart of gold who rehabilitates after falling in love with both the town of River City and Marian the Librarian. And the music is AMAZING and memorable. Our favorites are "Rock Island", "Iowa Stubborn", "Pick-A-Little/Good Night Ladies", "Marian", "Wells Fargo", "Shipoopi", "Trouble", and of course "Seventy Six Trombones." I didn't get a chance to view the bonus features, but it had a great intro before the movie with a little bit of insight by the woman who played Marian that gave a bit of insight to the history of this beloved musical movie. And the disc itself played great without any problems. I would definately recommend this to any fan of this movie and musicals in general.

Pure simple down-home feel-good entertainment.
Robert Preston's incredible performance highlights one of the most entertaining movies in our collection. His 5-minute monologue Ya Got Trouble (Right Here in River City) is incomparable. The opening scene in the rail car's rapid-fire dialog is outstanding. The Proffesor Harold Hill, the consumate con-man, falls in love with the Marion the Librarian in this theatrical presentation of the Broadway hit that played over 1,000 performances, with Preston in the lead. You just can't come away from this movie without a big smile!

Another classic DVD that replaced our VHS tape.
We loved the VHS and now love the DVD, we plan on watching this monthly. So much more information with a DVD and the picture quality is excellent.

Great flick, lots of nostalgia
Great old version of the Music Man. The story line is great the characters believable the music wonderful. Can't go wrong with this one. You grt to see Ron Howard as a very young actor.

The Music Man Excellent Color and Sound Hard to believe that this film is over 50 Years old
What can you say about a Classic Film and the stars in it brought back so many memories when I saw it back in 1962 at the Center Theater and it was only in Stereo without Surround Sound It still sounds good!!!

Oldie but Goodie
This is one of the most heartwarming and musically delightful movies around. It's also a good life lesson teaching movie for kids (and adults!).

Nostalgic, worth the watch.
Great Classical Movie, way before the special effects of today, when actors actually had to act... The movie has been the basis of many stage productions in high schools. Which came first, I do not know. Likely the stage play.

The Music Man
Absolutely love it! Love the acting, and the songs. Makes me feel as though I am watching it on stage without having to leave home, drive and park. Beautiful story!

MEMORABLE MOVIE, GREAT PRICE, NO SHIPPING FEE!
Robert Preston and Shirley Jones brought back many WONDERFUL memories of this movie! This DVD was suppsed to be "very good". I would say it was BETTER than very good! WORTH THE MONEY!! AND NO SHIPPING!! YEAYY!!
