a good gift for a Harry Potter fan and works well as a chess set too.
I bought this as a present for an adult HP fan and can only comment on their reaction to it - they love it! Apparently, the pieces are weightier than they appear, so they sit nicely on the board. They also have it on display when not using it to play with. I was unsure about the "good value" question - it seems rather expensive, so I was glad that the person receiving it rated it so highly! I therefore hit the "yes" button.

Fab chess set
I was pleasantly surprised that this was such a nice set. I read mixed reviews before I purchased it and was a bit worried. The board has a lovely design and the pieces are large. The pieces are light but once you get used to that they are good to play with.

Well worth it
I bought this to play with my granddaughter who has just learned to play chess & she is also mad on Harry Potter so it was a win win she Loves it!good quality & a nice size to play with all in great condition too

Great set for kids to get into chess !
It is well made with a very professional and stylish look about it! My 10 year old grandson is very much into Harry Potter but also learning to play chess, so this imaginatively produced version is ideal for him to improve his game!

Absolutely amazing I love it. Even when I don't play I have it set up aside as an ornament
What an amazing chess board. The pieces look exactly the same as from the final part of The Philosopher's Stone. The pieces are sturdy and heavy so they don't constantly fall over from a little knock, which causes a domino effect knocking other pieces over and ruining your game like some other chess board pieces.

Harry Potter Chess Set
This has been bought as a Christmas gift for my 9-year old granddaughter who is a massive Harry Potter fan - it looks a lovely chess set and I'm sure she'll be delighted with it.

Great for HP fans
The pieces are large enough to be used on a standard games table which is fantastic. I bought it as a gift for my husband (he is a huge HP fan) and he loves it!

Harry Potter Chess set
We saw this ( or nearly identical ) chess set when we visited Warner Bros studios. This chess set is really good quality and a quarter of the price of the one we saw in London.

Even better in person than in pictures
I was a little worried how will the figures look like in person, but they are even better than expected. They don't seem plastic and like they are gonna easily break. I'm very satisfied.
