An Ounce of Prevention
My past use of this product was positive for the prevention of insect bites through fabric - especially mosquitoes! With the various mosquito type diseases (Zika) around in the warmer climates, the little cost and short time associated is well worth the peace of mind. I sprayed clothes that were not already pre-treated at their source of manufacture, paying particular attention to collars and cuffs because that area is nearest exposed skin. I've had no problem in the past, and hope the future is the same for me. There is little to no odor at application, and drying time is fairly quick. Great Product
We live in a area where Lyme disease is rampant. I have never had a tick on me while wearing clothes that were treated with Sawyer Permethrin. Insect repellant with deet does not work very well and with permethrin I can wear the clothes for 40 days or 6 washings whichever comes first. Last summer I went into the woods for just a couple minutes without my permethrin treated clothes and had a deer tick on me. I have a friend that had Lyme Disease and it went undetected for quite some time and he now has severe health problems. No odor and it really works
Sprayed my hunting clothes, following the directions given. Been hunting several times now, walking through tall grasses, brush and sitting in tree stand and I have not been had any problems with fire ants, jiggers, or mosquitoes. Before I got the Sawyer's I was eaten up by the fire ants and jiggers, but not now. I have not washed the clothes, I just hang them on the line to air out and store them in a plastic storage tote between hunts. Sawyer Clothing Insect Repellant
This is the second summer that I have used this product. It is fabulous! I'm outdoors every day walking through high grass and ocean side trails. I use the Sawyer spray on all of my outdoor clothes, including hats and socks. In the past two years, I have only found one tick on my pants leg. This was at the end of the five washings that the spray is guaranteed to work. It keeps away other insects like mosquitoes and gnats do not like it either. I highly recommend this product for use on clothing, hats, car interiors, tents etc. Once it is dry, there is no odor. However, beware that while it is wet, the odor is toxic to animals and you should not inhale it. I leave my clothes on the line outside, spray them and once dry, bring them in and they are ready to wear. I am very sensitive to sprays and allergic to a lot of things. I have had no physical response to this product. All of my friends that are outdoor people have .found ticks on them repeatedly this year.. Many have had Lyme Disease and other tick borne infections. Gives me the peace of mind going to and from work
I bought this product because I am a security guard in several different public locations. Prior to starting, I had hear horror stories about citizens bringing in fleas, bugs, etc into the buildings. A guard with experience told me he had a cleaning kit in his trunk, and sprayed his legs and boots every day, before and after work. I have followed the same pattern, and this product helps gives me the peace of mind that I won't bring anything home with me from work. It does seem to have a bit of an odor when you first spray it on, but overall, it is pretty odorless. I spray it on my pants and boots, and once it is dry, you cannot tell it is there. I did want to mention that the spray top broke after the first week. Luckily, I had an empty spray bottle in my laundry room, and I used the spray top from that as a replacement. But, that was pretty cheap, in my opinion. Overall, I would recommend this product. I bought it because other reviewers said bugs would die instantly upon contact yet. No Bites for Me.
Great stuff. I treated my pants, shirts and hats for recent trip to the Maine woods.....No mosquito, black fly or deer fly bites. My wife was surprised not to see any bug bites and borrowed my hat when she was working in the garden among swarming black flies, no bites or bother. Worth the money. Tick’s
This stuff works amazing. Hunting a new area and found out that the tick’s are everywhere. Had them all over me. Had a guy tell me about this stuff (Sawyer) went home and ordered it got it in a few days sprayed my pants and boots down good. Went to the same area hunted all day and no tick’s. Stops ticks in their tracks
I dilute this 10% solution down to a level that is appropriate for spraying on my outdoor clothing. I think the dilution rare is 19:1. 19 oz of water to 1 oz of product. Great pre-treatment before travel!
Heading to Africa, I was concerned about mosquitos and tse tse flies, so I pre-treated my clothes with this product. Needed two bottles for what I was bringing. Only can treat a few outfits with each bottle. Make sure to keep it off your skin and don't breathe the fumes, it can give you a headache. It lasts through 6 washes, so I could wash my clothes on vacation and not worry about needing more spray. I only ended up with one tse tse fly bite, although it actually bit me through a scarf that was sprayed with Permethrin, Therefore I'm not sure how well the product actually worked, and the bugs weren't as bad as I expected them to be.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
