    Powerhouse and portable?

    I've had a few synths in my time, nothing huge, all small and mid sized. I've had many with more "controls' and "features" than the skulpt, but the Skulpt is a legend in its own right! From huge sounding phat planet monster bass to twinkling melodic appreggios, micro USB power or aa batteries, take it anywhere, craft a sound, sequence it in upto 4 sound layers, with the flexibility to modulate many routes across the virtual analogue circuitry. Can't recommend it enough, sounds fantastic alongside the force/mpc standalone synths, microfreak, and crave. Happy days!! Cheers Modal (I certainly can't afford some of Modals other gear, but this makes up for it.)

    Affordable polysynth

    I've bought and sold around 12 small synths in the last few years, Volcas, UNO and MicroFreak included but never settled with any of them. I reckon this is the keeper though. Yes, the keys are spaced too far apart, but even though it's virtual analogue it makes me feel like I did 40 years ago trying synths out I couldn't afford. And it's polyphonic! I was going to either build a Jasper or buy the Behringer Wasp, but that desire has faded now. For the moment, extremely happy with the Skulpt. Modal also provided great backup when a knob fell off and my dog chewed it...

    Modal Skulpt

    Good synth. Excellent fat pads and basses. Connecting to computer makes shaping the sound a bit easier. But good software. Flimsy build quality unfortunately but not a deal breaker.

    Freindly, tactile and powerful

    Totally user friendly synth and beautiful presets .. very ergonomic too. No grumbles at all with this remarkable little device
