love this camera
I personally love this camera.
size per quality per price is really great.
I do post production professionally, files are really beautiful.
handles really really well high ISO. by that I mean, file preserves a very beautiful depth and detail and grain has a nice texture. That said, compared to higher end 35 mm SLR of period 2013-2017, grain is fairly low at higher ISO even at 12k ISO.
Colors of raw files are beautiful.
VIDEO quality looks fantastic at first sight and based on my research prior purchasing.
Camera seems to have more or less all most important professional settings of pro DSLR.
Silent shooting is really silent.
I believe though viewfinder resolution is yet not where I'd hope to see one day. but I presume this has to do with current technology limitations.
my impression is that this is a fantastic light weight, great quality product that can easily be used for professional work.
Especially for Video, travel, portraiture.
seems to me like a camera that is great to always have ready to carry around without much struggle and with which I'd rarely find myself saying ' I wish I had a better camera with me'...
to me, the a6500 seems to be comparable to CANON EOS 5DR, but with 1/3 the weight, 1/2 the resolution, probably less battery life, high quality 4K video (reminder: if I got it right, it shoots 6K and then reduces it to 4K)
Also, very interesting to me:
- has wifi connection
- has ability to install 3rd party applications (like time lapse control)
definitely seems to be a great product.
cons: not crazy how easily USB cable can come off. have not tested wifi download yet though.
if you are on a budget this is what I picked for lenses:
- Sigma 30mm 1.4 which seems to be really beautiful and crisp
- Sony 18-105 / 4 G which seems to be really nice lens as well.
for the cost, they seem great, fast AF, crisp and well built. Not sure how much better in quality more expensive lenses could be
