GREAT BUY!!
I will start with this since obviously that was the first thing I noticed. In a word, incredible. Now its not "eye popping" or anything out of this world, but I can honestly say it exceeded my expectations and I was (and continue to be) impressed by this piece of hardware's capabilities. I tested out just a few minutes of TV shows, trailers, videos, and films from Prime Instant Video, Netflix, Hulu Plus, Flixster, and Youtube (through the web browser since an app is currently unavailable) and everything looks as it should (and beautiful to boot)! Books come out crisp as well (both in text and picture) and the same goes for basic website visuals, apps, and games. Overall I am very impressed. Love this Tablet!!!
I use mine everyday and only have to charge the battery every other day. Very easy to navigate, I bought my 92 year old grandmother 1 for Christmas and she learned how to use it in 1 day. This is my FIFTH and LAST Kindle IF - IF the power plug in goes bad again like it has on the last 4 Kindles I purchased. I just bought 2 more and this time I paid for the "insurance" - only to find out when I got a copy of the insurance it DID NOT cover plug in problems. Seriously? Well, I am going to give Amazon 1 more try to see if this works. The plug in is tighter than all of the prior, so I HOPE that means they fixed the problem, because they certainly don't do anything for you when they go bad, other than tell you to buy a new one. Nice Tablet
This is my second Kindle Fire. There has been some improvements in screen size and storage. I do miss the previous carousel. This model seems more like an IPad. Picture quality is about the same as the older Fire. However, there are front and back cameras and dual speakers. Also, the Silk browser is still not as good as other browsers e.g. Siri. Long lasting tablet!
