Tiny blades bent first use.
If you adjust the thickness of the cut and turn the know all the way, a really cool features appears, tiny blades come up so you can cut julienne style. I was so excited, I tried it right away and when I was done, I turned the know back to tuck the tiny blades away. When I turned the know back the tiny blades would not come back up. When I investigated, I discovered the several of the blades had bent. I had to take some needle nose pliers to bend the blades back straight. Now I am hesitant to use the julienne cut. Also, the handle that holds the food while you slice only has a three needles to hold on to the food. It would much better off if it had a dozen needles because each item I slice is a different size and shape. It's difficult to get the food secure when you are slicing. I was underwhelmed for the price to say the least.

Best choice considering quality, design, and price
The Oxo Mandoline is amazingly well-designed for versatility, safety, ease of use and fast clean up. Watch your fingers
