Great value, love this speaker!
Very happy with this. I struggled so much to find a speaker that was input-wireless but mains-powered and affordable. Mainly using it on Bluetooth from my laptop, which works great, but the NFC connectivity is a very nice touch too and the android app is dead easy to use. Very happy with sound quality, portability, design etc. Plus my cats don't try and scratch it! I would buy a speaker like this for every room if I could.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Better than you think...
I'd been after a multiroom system for a while, so did my research. I looked at all the usual suspects...sonos, jam, even the echo series. Now they're obviously good products, lots of people buy them and love them, but for me they all had something against them: price, unknown performance, or tracking my listening habits. So when I saw this speaker from Roberts, along with its bigger brother, the S2, I was interested for the 3 reasons... 1. Price - it was an absolute bargain! 2. Performance - my dad used to have Roberts radios around the house and the sound was always warm, full and yet properly separated. These are just the same. 3. Although I'm sure they are tracking my listening habits somehow I'm not shouting someones name (ale*a) to play something. Decent sound quality but not value for money.
Potential purchasers need to be aware that if they want to access the UNDOK app. they need to have access to a smart phone;it was not clear to me when I bought this item that use of a smartphone, while not essential, is very much preferred. Additionally, I did not realise that the speaker needs to remain plugged in when in use, all my other Bluetooth speakers can be charged up therefore do not require this.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Great, low price speaker.
This is a great sounding and looking speaker. The built in Spotify and internet make it head and shoulders above the rest. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the lack of battery, which means it's not completely wireless. That aside I am more than happy with my speaker, and at the reduced price of under £50, probably make the best value speaker currently on the market. Roberts quality.

Adequate speaker worth £60
With Bluetooth, WiFi and Internet radio this would appear to be a budget version of a Sonos Play: 1; the key is budget. Where as the Sonos has a balanced sound the Roberts S1 has an overpowering out of control bass linked to a hollow mid range. The speaker has plenty of volume for the average room size but less impressive at low volumes. The control app 'undok' is not the most polished app but again adequate. Fantastic value for money.
Fantastic value for money. Sound is maybe not quite up to Sonos or Bose standard, but it's very close and for a third the price it's unbeatable. Easy to set up.

Klang ist mäßig...
Der basslastige Sound (das muss wohl heute so) mag bei dem Artikelpreis noch in Ordnung gehen. Auch mit den Equalizereinstellungen ist kein vernünftiges Klangbild möglich. Wenigstens kann man die Nachrichten verstehen. Zur App: die Einrichtung ist gut gemacht - top. Jedoch bereits die Sendersuche ist nicht da, wo man sie vermutet (der echte Suchmodus). Die App ist mäßig gemacht, man kommt jedoch zurecht. Ich würde mir wünschen, dass man mehr Aktionen ohne App ausführen kann, z.B. Senderwahl, wenigstens die Presets. Aber: die Verarbeitung ist gut, haptisch ist für einen Plastikwürfel nichts auszusetzen. Gut aussehen tut er auch - Geschmackssache. Auch die Transaktion war top - nichts auszusetzen.
